Welcome to ec4nh.org - New Hampshire's Emergency Contraception resource.

On June 16, 2005, New Hampshire became the 7th state in the nation to allow pharmacy access for Emergency Contraception (EC). This important step in improving access to reproductive health care allows women to get EC straight from their pharmacists, without having to first visit a physician or nurse practitioner for a prescription.

This site is intended to help you learn more about Emergency Contraception and pharmacy access, and as a resource for finding EC in your community.

A coalition of local organizations is currently working with the NH Board of Pharmacy to develop a centralized list of EC-friendly pharmacies.

Until then, please contact your local pharmacy before the need for EC arises to determine whether they have a trained EC pharmacist on staff.

Or, contact Planned Parenthood of Northern New England to find out more about where they have providers partnering with EC trained pharmacists.
